Accenture will be promoting 50,000 of its staff worldwide, including 15,000 employees from India, effective June 2025.
The promotions come after a six-month delay. Though Accenture traditionally announces its promotions in December, it delayed its promotions in 2024, owing to the slowdown in the consultancy industry, according to Bloomberg.
Amidst the 50,000 Accenture employees scheduled for promotion, around 15,000 are from India. The rest includes 10,000 workers from Europe, West Asia and Africa and 10,000 in the Americas. With a total of 801,000 employees, the promotions will affect about 6% of its workforce.
Along with the promotions, Accenture is also rolling out salary hikes in the range of 3-13% for employees at Level 8 (Associate Manager) and above. This marks the first time that the company has announced wages hikes like this in two-and-a-half years. Both the promotions and the salary hikes are part of the company’s new June performance cycle.
“This cycle, we will have stay-at-level (base pay) increases, including many of those not covered in the December cycle and others in key growth areas,” Ajay Vij, Senior Country Managing Director, Accenture in India, shared in an internal mail, according to Moneycontrol.
