Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Neeraj Naidu as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Many in the banking industry have received Naidu’s appointment positively. His well-wishers include his new colleagues at Kotak and old ones in IDFC. His expertise in technology risk, vulnerability assessment, IT security, and incident response, among other things, make him an asset to Kotak.

Naidu previously worked as the CISO of IDFC FIRST Bank, having achieved the position in January 2021. He joined the company in December 2018 and was the Head of IT Infrastructure and Business Technology Operations until his switch to the executive position.
Prior to his time with IDFC, Naidu worked for Capital First Limited. He joined the company in June 2013 as an Assistant Vice President for IT. Climbing the leadership ladder, he became the Vice President and Head of IT Infrastructure in April 2016 and maintained the position until Capital’s merger with IDFC on December 18, 2018.
Over the past 25 years, Naidu has worked in companies like NSEiT, Nayamode, TCPL Packaging, Portelet Management, and Teksons. Thanks to his extensive experience in technology and management, Naidu has developed crucial skills that likely helped him secure a position with Kotak. With Naidu at the helm, Kotak will look forward to ensuring the strength of its security operations.
