Jayanthi Vaidyanathan, Vice President and Head of HR at PayPal India, has announced that she will be stepping down from her position. She will be leaving the company after having dedicated 17 years to the financial company.

“I joined PayPal in 2008 as the HR-Head for India, tasked with setting up and running the India entity. Fast forward to today, we’ve grown to nearly 7,000 people across multiple locations in India cutting across engineering, product management, analytics, customer support and all other functions being a key part of PayPal’s global strategic priorities and products,” Vaidyanathan stated in the LinkedIn post along with her announcement. “It’s been an incredible ride, filled with deep learning, great relationships, and a keen sense of purpose.”

Vaidyanathan is undoubtedly proud of all that she has contributed to the company. An expert in change management, business transformation, strategic planning, and employee value proposition, she has been active within the HR domain for nearly two decades. In the past, she has also worked for companies like Convansys, e-Funds International, Ma Foi Management Consultants, and Sterling Resorts.

While talking about her time with PayPal India, Vaidyanathan expressed her gratitude for the colleagues that have been a part of her journey in various capacities. “I’m lucky to have had a brilliant set of leaders who have shaped me, and most importantly, very thankful to my team in HR – the icing on the cake in my journey,” she stated. “It’s a privilege to have served my regional and India teams, who have always brought their best to PayPal.”

Talking about her plans for the future, Vaidyanathan has admitted that she is not yet sure about her next step in her professional life. Instead, she has taken a step back to take “a moment to pause and recharge a bit for now.” That said, she has affirmed that she remains passionate about the HR field and is looking forward to contributing in future, whether as a coach, an advisor, or a similar role that will allow her to help different companies.
