Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has promoted M.G. Balasubrahmanya to Director of Human Resources (HR).
Balasubrahmanya has been a part of HAL for over 35 years. He joined the company in 1989 as a Management Trainee (Personnel) and has since been an essential part of the company. Some areas to which he has contributed include industrial relations, legal and disciplinary matters, training and skill Development, corporate social responsibility, facility and estate management and vigilance at divisional, complex and corporate levels.
Prior to his new role, Balasubrahmanya was the Executive Director (HR) at HAL Corporate Office. In this position, he focused on attracting and retaining top talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning, process improvement, automation, employee engagement and productivity enhancement. He also played a key role in developing and aligning HR policies and interventions with HAL’s business needs and challenges.
An alumnus of Mangalore University, Balasubrahmanya has a Master’s degree in Social Work (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) from the School of Social Work. He also has a law degree from Osmania University and is a certified Internal Assessor for the Competency Assessment.
