Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET) has appointed Akshatha Karangutkar as its Head of Human Resources (HR). She will report to Neerja Birla, ABET’s Founder and Chairperson.

An expert in talent management and organizational development, Karangutkar has been active in the HR industry for over two decades. She is also skilled in developing HR strategies and creating employee development initiatives. Karangutkar is looking forward to working with ABET and has expressed her desire to impact the company positively.

For her expertise, Karangutkar was named to Jombay’s HR 10 Under 40 list in 2020. She is also the State President of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) for Maharashtra. Over the years, Karangutkar has obtained numerous certifications highlighting her expertise in working with people from all walks of life.

Karangutkar has previously held senior HR positions in companies such as Samhita Social Ventures, Bank of Baroda Financial Services, Dainik Bhaskar Group (दैनिक भास्कर), and Adfactors PR. She has also worked for NewsWire18, CentrumDirect, and AOL.

A strong advocate for women’s representation in the workforce, Karangutkar often participates in diversity initiatives focused on women’s empowerment. She also enjoys writing and frequently speaks at HR forums on topics related to key industry trends.
