We are looking for a Technical Product Quality Inspector to join the manufacturing team. You will be responsible for inspecting products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards.

As a Quality Inspector, you will collaborate with production teams, engineers, and management to maintain high product standards, minimizing defects and enhancing product reliability. 

You must also comply with standards regulations including those set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This requires a keen eye for detail and the capability of identifying even the smallest discrepancies in product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of products during different stages of the production process.
  • Ensure products meet company specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
  • Perform measurements and tests using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and testing machines.
  • Document and report any defects, discrepancies, or quality issues, and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality reports for traceability.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to discuss product issues and recommend improvements in design or manufacturing processes.
  • Review and verify technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to ensure that the final product meets requirements.
  • Monitor and track inventory to ensure that inspection materials and tools are well-maintained and available.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits related to quality control.
  • Train and mentor junior quality inspectors, ensuring consistent application of quality standards across all manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Certification in Quality Control (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection, particularly in the technical manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in using measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and testing machines.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry (ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean).
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for record-keeping and reporting (e.g., MS Office, SAP).
