We are looking for a Technical Product Manager for the product development team. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of technical products, from initial concept to final production. 

In this position, you will work closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. This will ensure that the products are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet the required specifications.

Ultimately, you will manage the product development cycle and ensure that the outcome is feasible for the organization as well as the client.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage product roadmaps for technical products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define product requirements, specifications, and features.
  • Coordinate with R&D and production teams to ensure seamless execution of product development, from prototyping to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and define product features that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage product backlogs, prioritizing features and technical improvements based on business value, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Oversee testing and quality control processes to ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, suppliers, and customers throughout the product development cycle.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including specifications, user guides, and other technical documents.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, analyze customer feedback, and recommend product improvements or iterations.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness in the product development process by collaborating with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to optimize resources and minimize waste.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related area is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management within the manufacturing or technical industry.
  • Proven experience in managing complex, technical products, with a solid understanding of the manufacturing process, engineering principles, and product development lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with product development tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and experience in using data-driven approaches to make decisions.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance processes.
