We are looking for a Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to take charge of the organization’s accounting practices. You will be responsible for directing the financial reporting, budget management, and audit processes within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of any audit findings.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics and provide strategic insights to executive management.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other executives to develop financial strategies that align with business goals.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax planning and reporting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards in India.
